"The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Garenne 1er Cru comes from the vineyard shared with Duc de Magenta (Louis Jadot) and its vines were planted in 1957. This has a deep, almost Meursault-like bouquet with hazelnut, almond, fern and undergrowth scents that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a killer line of acidity that keeps this Puligny on its tippy-ties. Very focused, just a light touch of spice towards the finish that fans out gloriously.
