95+ JG. "The very old vines that comprise the la Sève de Clos bottling have performed brilliantly in 2010, and this is likely to prove to be one of the greatest wines Arnaud Ente has yet made in his superb career. The magical nose offers up a very complex mélange of apple, tangerine, a touch of fresh coconut, iodine, complex, chalky soil tones, vanillin oak and a beautifully perfumed topnote of orange blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very, very pure and elegant on the attack, with a rock solid core of fruit, brisk acids, stunning balance, great length and huge backend minerality and drive on the electric finish. A brilliant, brilliant Meursault." John Gilman, View From the Cellar #36, Dec 2011 |
