94-96 JG. "The 2015 vintage will again feature a Cuvée Centenaire bottling of Clos St. Jacques from Jean-Marie Fourrier, as two casks will be bottled on their own. This was happily a bit more recovered than the regular bottling, as it wafts from the glass in a mix of red and black cherries, grilled meats, cocoa, musky floral tones, a great base of minerality, and a topnote of spices. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and impressively pure, with a rock solid core, fine-grained tannins and excellent length and grip on the long and complex finish. This is likely to be stunning." John Gilman, View From The Cellar #66, Dec 2016 |
