Lot #687. Bernard Faurie Hermitage (Bessards/Le Méal) 2007

Description: Consists of 3 Bottles, 0.75L
Region: France, Rhône, Hermitage.
Score: 93 VM.
"Vivid ruby. Sexy, penetrating aromas of raspberry, candied cherry, incense and anise. Lively red fruit flavors are given spine by tangy minerality and show a suave note of candied flowers on the back half. The finish is spicy, nervy and extremely persistent. Faurie thinks that this wine is both more accessible and more age-worthy than the white-capsule bottling .... 'They are very accessible and fresh but they also have the depth to age,' he told me. 'You can drink them now or later, as you prefer.'" Josh Raynolds, Vinous, Jan 2010
Provenance: The Arlay Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $450
