"Bright dark red. Reticent crushed stone aroma, with intriguing white fruit notes of peach and lemon skin; I might have picked this as a minerally chardonnay if I had a bag over my head. Then surprisingly sweet, silky and ripe, with good definition and rocky verve. This is a warm clos, but the north-south orientation of the vine rows gives the fruit some protection from the hot midday sun. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and good lingering perfume."
