93 AM. "Made from extremely old vines located in Teurons, Vignes Franches and Les Cras, vinified with 30% of the stems, aged in 500 liter 100% new oak barrels, of which there were only two, and aged for 20 to 24 months. A very serious, ripe and highly complex nose is presently brooding and only grudgingly giving up glimpses of earthy dark berry fruit that is followed by fresh and energetic medium-bodied flavors blessed with excellent detail, beautiful purity of expression and ample minerality on the powerful, deep and moderately austere finish where a hint of wood surfaces. As it usually is, this is quite promising as the length is truly stunning." Burghound.com, Apr 18, 2010 |
