96-98 NM. "Lighter colour than Echézeaux. The nose is muted with tar and a touch of blackcherry and blueberry. Very smooth, silky palate. Velvety tannins - this is more like a Romanée-Saint-Vivant. Backward. Less expressive and open than Echézeaux but utterly harmonious. Long finish. Not flamboyant, more svelte and sensuous. Utterly charming. (839 cases produced.) Tasted February 2001."
