Caroline Morey Chassagne Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy
"A fresh, cool and very pretty nose reveals only a hint of exotic character on the aromas of white peach, orange peel and anise. Once again the palate impression of the medium-bodied flavors is rich, generous and seductive but with more evident minerality that adds a sense of lift to the nicely dry bitter lemon-inflected finale." 91-93, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Caroline Morey Chassagne Montrachet Les Chambrees 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy
“Fresh and bright aromas of rosemary oil, Granny Smith apple, petrol and a hint of pear are complemented by sleek, delicious and solidly punchy medium weight flavors that display fine length on the balanced finale. This could use better depth but a few years of keeping should successfully address that. Recommended.” 89-91, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Caroline Morey Chassagne Montrachet Les Champs Gain 1er Cru 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy
"A more elegant nose is comprised by more floral-suffused aromas of white fleshed fruit, citrus and subtle rosemary oil whiffs. Here too there is a really lovely texture to the medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract while buffering the citrus-tinged finale that offers noticeably better depth. This too is recommended." 90-93, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

"Smoky aromas of pear and apple compote are trimmed in hints of crushed herbs, petrol and an all but invisible dollop of wood. The rich, generous, punchy and relatively powerful larger-scaled flavors that possess good detail and vibrancy on the clean, dry and well-balanced finale. This too could use a bit better depth but more should reasonably develop if given a chance." 90-93, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Pierre Yves Colin Morey Nuits Saint Georges 2021, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Nuits St. Georges, Burgundy
"...The juice is pressed into barrel before primary fermentation and then Pierre-Yves leaves them alone as much as possible. Fermentation is always initiated by natural yeast and he does not stir the lees, rack the barrels or even filter the wines. Pierre-Yves also prefers unusual barrels – about 80% of them are 50% larger than normal Burgundy barrels. Depending on the vintage, most of the top wines are aged in new oak, but the larger barrels minimize the oak influence and also delay the malolactic fermentation. The cellar is also kept very cold to further delay the malolactic fermentation – which ideally finishes 8-9 months after harvest. Approximately 18 months after harvest the wines are lightly fined and then bottled. The extended elévage helps preserve aromatic intensity and purity as well as giving the wines the right balance for long-term ageing." Importer Notes

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bâtard-Montrachet 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Bâtard-Montrachet, Burgundy
."A very pungent nose presently exhibits residual secondary fermentation and wood scents. Much more interesting are the exuberantly fresh and superbly concentrated broad-shouldered flavors that are succulent but decidedly powerful before culminating in a muscular, palate staining and hugely long finish. This is excellent and a wine that should age commensurately." 93-95, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne Montrachet Abbaye de Morgeot 1er Cru 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy
"Smoky white orchard fruit aromas are trimmed in floral and soft wood nuances. There is excellent volume to the enveloping, round and highly seductive medium-bodied flavors that also coat the palate with dry extract on the mildly rustic if lingering finale. This too could use better depth so at least a few years of keeping is advised." 89-92, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne Montrachet Les Ancegnieres 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy
"This wine from PYCM is among Burgundy's most outstanding values; oddly, it seems much of it goes to Asia, but this is worth seeking out. The 2022 has a complex nose of ripe pear, nectarine, exotic spices and a hint of smoky reduction. The texture is dense and rich — unsurprisingly, since the lieu-dit is just downslope from Bâtard-Montrachet. Colin farms 0.26 hectares in two parcels: the oldest has 80-year-old vines, while the other has been replanted. It is one of Burgundy's truly great 'village' wines." 95, Charles Curtis MW, Decanter, Nov 2023

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne Montrachet Les Baudines 1er Cru 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy
"More elegant, cooler and airier aromas include those of Granny Smith apples, mineral reduction, exotic tea and plenty of citrus elements. The succulent but intense and overtly mineral-driven middleweight flavors possess good cut on the youthfully austere and sneaky long finale. Here too more depth would be helpful but that shouldn't be an issue with a few years of bottle aging." 90-93, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy
"A vague whiff of exotic character lurks in the background of the aromas of citrus confit, white peach, spice and discreet flora scents. There is excellent volume to the caressing and seductive yet tension-filled flavors that deliver very fine length on the overtly stony, firm and built-to-age finale. This balanced effort could be approached young with pleasure but the upside development potential is evident." 91-93, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy
"This is even more floral-suffused with its nose of petrol, lemon rind and soft wood. The rich and quite generously proportioned middleweight flavors coat the palate with dry extract while exuding a more subtle bead of minerality on the balanced, lingering and citrus-tinged finish. Once again this is sufficiently forward to allow for good early drinkability yet should have no trouble repay a decade plus of keeping." 90-93, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Corton-Charlemagne 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Corton-Charlemagne, Burgundy
"Generous wood stops short of fighting with the prominent petrol-scented nose of acacia blossom, soft citrus and a pretty array of spice nuances. The medium weight plus flavors are rich to the point of opulence though with no lack of power and minerality to the palate soaking finish. This is not an elegant rendition of the appellation but it doesn't lack for character or upside development potential." 92-94, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 2022, 0.75L

"A different aromatic profile is comprised by notes of acacia blossom, hazelnut, spice and essence of Granny Smith apple. The rich, generous and seductively textured medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the punchy and sappy finale that is shaped by citrus-tinged acidity. This is also impressive for its level and, much like the Chatenière, a wine that should be enjoyable young and with age." 90-92, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

"Fresh, bright and cool aromas include those of Granny Smith apple, citrus rind, spice and a hint of spice. The racy, indeed almost painfully intense, middleweight flavors flash outstanding minerality on the balanced, lemony, detailed and impressively persistent finale. Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint-Aubin 2021, 0.75L
Chardonnay from St. Aubin, Burgundy
"The village-level Saint-Aubin from Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey features green apple and grapefruit aromas with spice from the cask fermentation. The texture is silky and round, avoiding any tart or acerbic sensations and lingering on the palate. The grapes are a blend of three parcels from his fifty-year-old vines in the south-facing but high-altitude lieu-dit Le Blanc with a parcel in En Choilles. Colin presses the grapes very gently as whole clusters and racks to barrel without settling before fermenting in cask on native yeasts." 91 Charles Curtis MW, Decanter Magazine

"Pretty and layered aromas of pear and apple compote display additional nuances of zest, spice and an all but invisible touch of wood. There is a bit less volume and even finer texture to the stony, delicious and intense medium weight flavors that deliver fine length on the balanced, clean and dry finale that is just a bit more complex. This is lovely plus it's a wine that should drink well young as well as with mid-term keeping." 91-93, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jun 2024

Jerome Prevost La Closerie Fac-simile Extra Brut Rose Champagne LC18 NV, 0.75L
Pinot Meunier from Gueux, Champagne
"Disgorged without dosage, the NV Extra Brut Rosé Fac-similie (LC18) bursts with aromas of red berries, plums and spices mingled with freshly baked bread and dried white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and sapid, with delicate structure and an enveloping core of irresistibly succulent fruit, lively acids and a long, saline finish. While the Fac-similie shares the charm of its white counterpart, its gently phenolic grip seems to temper some of the exuberance of the vintage." 96 Points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Jerome Prevost La Closerie Les Beguines LC18 Extra-Brut NV, 0.75L
Pinot Meunier from Gueux, Champagne
"The NV Extra Brut Les Béguines LC 18 is a wine of immense charm and generosity of spirit. Mingling aromas of walnuts, fenugreek, pear, yellow orchard fruit, licorice, white flowers and buttery pastry with evocations of peach and apricot, it's full-bodied, fleshy and voluptuous, with a broad and textural attack that segues into an ample, enveloping core, concluding with a sapid finish. "These were the nicest grapes I've ever seen when assessed simply as fruit," Prévost remarks, contrasting the 2018 crop with the smaller berries and thicker skins of, for instance, 2015 "which were great grapes from which to make wine." 95 Points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Château Grillet 2021, 0.75L
Viognier from Château-Grillet, Rhône
“The 2021 Château-Grillet is a more subtle rendition compared to the surrounding vintages. Swirling the glass unlocks linden blossom, lime flesh, apricot, white peach and discrete cedar tones. This is a refined Château-Grillet with precisely sculpted aromas and flavors. Like in 2020, the fruit is just ripe, which helps to retain a wonderful sense of freshness. Offering a seamless mouthfeel and a saline touch on the elegant finish, the 2021 is utterly delicious. Made from grapes that were harvested between the 21st and 23rd of September, only 2,300 bottles were produced.” 96, Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, Oct 2023
“Noble aromas of stone fruits, also notes of white tea and verbena, yet the wine’s strength is the intense and finely nuanced stony minerality that washes over you. Great interplay between the salty and Amalfi lemon character and the fine tannins. Still very young, but with excellent aging potential. From biodynamically grown grapes.” 95, Stuart Pigott, James Suckling, Apr 2023

Château Grillet Condrieu La Carthery 2022, 0.75L
Viognier from Condrieu, Rhône
“The team at Château Grillet is very proud to introduce a new wine produced from vines on the estate since 2017: the Condrieu “La Carthery”.
We were indeed fortunate in our acquisition of a few acres of vines adjacent to the historical boundaries of Château-Grillet that come under the Condrieu appellation. We made two consecutive purchases, one in 2013 and one in 2017. This gave us two plots with 12 dry-stone terraces, known as “chaillées” in the region, that perfectly fit in with patchwork of plots that make up the estate.
From the first harvests, we could see that the wine from these plots was of high quality so the decision was made to add the Condrieu to the family of wines produced on the estate. This wine sits between the Côtes-du-Rhône and Château-Grillet.
Thanks to this purchase, today we are able to offer a complete range Viognier wines from the Rhône Valley that express the different facets of this grape variety from vines planted in the amphitheatre around the heartland of the estate.
The two plots of Condrieu cover less than 0.25 hectare and their high-quality terroir is home to vines that are around 20 years old. The largest plot (17 acres) is situated in “La Carthery”, hence the name of this wine.
The soil is naturally quite similar to that of Château-Grillet’s plots and vinification methods follow the same philosophy. However, the maturation process is much shorter than Château Grillet, giving a wine which unveils a different expression of Viognier’s aromatic complexity and can be enjoyed in its youth. It is a rare wine which is produced in small quantities.” Producer Notes

Château Grillet Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc 2022, 0.75L
