Bernhard Ott Gruner Veltliner Ried Rosenberg 2017, 0.75L
Gruner Veltliner from Wagram, Wagram

"From 60-year-old vines picked on September 29, Ott's Feuersbrunner 2017 Grüner Veltliner Ried Rosenberg 1ÖTW is super clear, precise and fresh on the nose where tropical and stone fruit aromas such as apricots, white peaches, nectarines, papayas and mangos are displayed. Full-bodied, lush and round with very fine acidity and good structure, this is a densely woven, fleshy, super elegant, persistent and very powerful Veltliner with an impressive but slightly massive finish. Super sexy but I tend to prefer the Spiegel from the 2017 vintage. Tasted at Schloss Grafenegg and three weeks later in Vienna, both September 2018." 93 Points, Stephen Reinhardt, Wine Advocate

Marcel Lapierre Morgon N (Sans Soufre) 2023, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

“The 2023 Morgon (Non-Sulphité) has a fresh and vibrant nose, a little more brightness than the SO2 bottling. This conveys a sense of coiled-up energy. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity and that same crunchy red fruit as the regular cuvée, but with a tad more flesh toward the finish. Lapierre told me that the brightness tends to disappear within six weeks, but nevertheless, this remains a magnificent Morgon.” 93, Neal Martin, Vinous, Apr 2024

Mee Godard Morgon Corcelette 2022, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

“This enchanting wine boasts a lovely perfumed nose with hints of plummy fruit and floral notes on the initial attack, while the palate features an impressively sweet fruit character, a silky, very fine texture and rewarding length. Godard observed that her Moulin à Vent is normally the ‘ethereal’ one, but the Corcelette seems to have usurped that role in 2022. The grapes come from three parcels in lieu-dit Bellevue and one in Montillet that total 1.5 hectares.” 93, Charles Curtis MW, Decanter, May 2024

Clerc Milon 2024, 0.75L
Bordeaux Blend from Pauillac, Bordeaux

“Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Fine nougat, a hint of cassis, cherries, candied orange zest. Medium complexity, silky texture, fine fruit, finesse-rich structure, ripe tannins, mineral and persistent, already well developed and harmonious, can be enjoyed immediately.” 93, Peter Moser, Falstaff, Apr 2025

“The 2024 Clerc Milon was picked from September 24 to October 6 and raised in 55% new oak with just a little more Cabernet than previous years. It has a fragrant bouquet with blackberry, briar and light iodine scents that unfold nicely in the glass, though it's not as vigorous as the top vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with finely cut tannins. It has moderate weight and density, with a pleasing sweetness of fruit that comes through on the finish. This Clerc Milon has an appealing sense of composure and it should age well in bottle.” 91-93, Neal Martin, Vinous, Apr 2025

“The Grand Vin 2024 Château Clerc Milon from this château checks in as 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, and Petit Verdot. The élevage here will span 18 months in 55% new barrels. As always, this has an incredible sense of minerality that reminds me of Saint-Émilion. Ripe black cherries, graphite, crushed stone, and floral notes, as well as nicely integrated oak, all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, has a pure, layered mouthfeel, and ripe tannins.” 90-92, Jeb Dunnuck, May 2025

Lynch-Bages 2024, 0.75L
Bordeaux Blend from Pauillac, Bordeaux

“Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Delicate notes of wood, goji berry, tobacco savouriness, some cassis and blackberry, attractive bouquet. Juicy, red berry, lively structure, mineral, a hint of nougat in the aftertaste, elegant and with maturity and certain ageing potential.” 93, Peter Moser, Falstaff, Apr 2025

The 2024 Lynch-Bages was cropped at just under 30 hl/ha and aged in 75% new oak for a planned 18 months. It has some initial reduction that is shaken off after several minutes. Very pure blackberry and blueberry fruit emerges with hints of melted tar and graphite and iodine eventually lends more complexity. The palate is medium-bodied and quite focused with grippy tannins that are impressive for their fineness. The 2024 possesses palpable mineralité and a poised finish. Though this does not touch the skyscraping heights that have been achieved in recent years, it is a “capable” Lynch-Bages that might warrant two or three years in the cellar and drink well for up to 15 years or possibly longer.” 91-93, Neal Martin, Vinous, Apr 2025

Bessin-Tremblay Chablis La Fourchaume 1er Cru 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

“This is aromatically similar to the straight Fourchaume except for the more noticeable wood toast plus a whiff of citrus confit. There is more volume as well as more sappy dry extract that imparts a borderline opulent texture to the middle weight plus flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence on the balanced finale. This is lovely and very promising.” 93, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Oct 2024

Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault Les Clous 2022, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

“There is a lovely freshness to Bouchard's Meursault Les Clous 2022 that brings a marvellous balance and length to the wine. The initial attack boasts aromas of citrus and apricot, acacia flowers and a saline minerality. There is richness as well, with notes of marzipan as the wine opens up on the palate. The grapes are from a parcel of over eight hectares that average 300 metres elevation, planted in stony marl soils that hold enough water to avoid stress in the summer's heat.” 93, Charles Curtis MW, Decanter, Oct 2023

Bret Brothers La Soufrandière Pouilly Fuisse En Chatenay 2021, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Pouilly Fuissé, Burgundy

"This impressive wine boasts lovely aromas of lemon peel and mineral with a floral edge. The body is lively and fresh, with bright acidity, medium body, and enough extract to drive a long finish. The grapes come from a 0.69-hectare parcel at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson. The old-vine Chardonnay was pressed directly without crushing and fermented in old oak casks, where it will stay for two full winters. No sulfur is used until bottling, and at that point, a de minimus 20 mg/litre is added.” 93 Charles Curtis MW, Decanter Magazine

Chavy-Chouet Meursault les Charmes 2020, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

"The 2020 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru perhaps does not deliver quite the same mineralité or energy as the Les Genevrieres on the nose, maybe a little timid at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a sapid entry, quite saline with hints of oyster shells and fruits de mer towards its composed and persistent finish. Very fine. (Drink between 2024-2040)"93 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous

"Moderately generous wood stops just short of fighting with the ripe aromas of pear and apple compote, citrus confit and white peach. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess an abundance of dry extract that buffers the firm, palate coating and powerful finish. Some patience would be beneficial here as well as this is presently quite compact though not especially austere." 92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg 2004, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Vosne Romanee, Burgundy

"Aubert de Villaine chose a 2004 Richebourg for lunch at this tasting because of its 'good continuity' with the 2017 vintage. He also remarked that in 2004 there were still three ouvrées (0.125ha) of hundred-year-old vines. The wine is distinctly bricking at the rim and showing a bit of evolution, with aromas on the nose that include dried cherries, liquorice and black tea. The texture on the palate is very fine, and the wine lingers in a regal fashion on the finish. (Drink between 2022-2030)." 93, Charles Curtis MW, Decanter, Jun 2022

Louis Boillot Pommard Les Fremiers 2021, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Pommard, Burgundy

"The 2021 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers is lovely, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet berries, licorice, loamy soil and spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, it's rich and concentrated, with lively acids and a cool, classic profile ..." 93 William Kelley, Wine Advocate

"The 2021 Pommard Les Fremiers from Domaine Louis Boillot is another very elegant young wine, with loads of pure red fruit and excellent fidelity to its underlying soil. The nose wafts from the glass in a mix of cherries, pomegranate, quince, peonies, woodsmoke, dark soil tones, pigeon, just a hint of fresh herb tones and a gentle framing of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and soil-driven, with a fine core of red fruit, chewy, well-integrated tannins, tangy acids and a long, focused and beautifully balanced finish." 93 John Gilman, View From The Cellar

"The 2021 Volnay Les Angles from Domaine Louis Boillot is an excellent young wine and also nicely black fruity this year. The nose wafts from the glass in a pure blend of dark berries, cassis, raw cocoa, pigeon, bonfire, a fine base of dark soil and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and complex, with lovely soil signature, a superb core of fruit, fine-grained tannins, lovely balance and a long, focused and very precise finish. Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Brut NV, 0.75L
Champagne Blend from Champagne, Champagne

". . . the latest rendition of Delamotte's NV Blanc de Blancs is showing just as well as its immediate predecessor, offering up a classy bouquet of crisp green apple, citrus oil, brioche, toasted nuts and dried white flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and elegant, with a crisp but charming core of fruit, lively acids and a precise, saline finish. Since its acquisition in 1988 by Laurent-Perrier, Delamotte has been twinned with Salon, one of Champagne's most prestigious small houses. Delamotte has both gained and lost by the association: gained, in that some of Salon's reputation has tended to rub off on Delamotte, and lost, because Delamotte is frequently portrayed—though not by the house's team, of course—as something of a "second wine" to Salon. Though both are Chardonnay specialists emphasizing their home village Mesnil-sur-Oger, in reality, the styles are quite distinct. Delamotte's wines undergo malolactic fermentation and, in profile, are creamier, more textural and giving, displaying an elegantly autolytic character while eschewing any extremes of Maillard-derived toastiness. Average production amounts to some 750,000 bottles per year, and the estate's emblematic cuvées are its non-vintage and vintage Blanc de Blancs; the latter especially is a very serious wine, and recent renditions are especially good. In fact, the 2008 may be one of the more underrated wines from this superb vintage on the market, and it's arguably this cuvée that suffers the most by Delamotte's position in Salon's shadow. These wines age well, and old non-vintage Delamotte can be a great bargain in the auction or brokerage market. I'm currently finishing up a case from the early 1980s from my cellar in Burgundy, and every bottle has been terrific." 93, Wine Advocate Interim, Aug 2019

Delamotte Brut Rose NV, 0.75L
from Champagne, Champagne

"An amber-colored rosé with aromas of cherries, praline, dried flowers and some spiced plums. Gastronomic and flavorful, with a medium to full body and dry, spicy and smoky elements. Tight bubbles. 88% chardonnay from Mesnil, Avize and Oger, with 12% red wine pinot noir from Bouzy and Ambonnay, from the 2018 vintage. 7g/L dosage. Drink now." 93, James Suckling, Aug 2023

The latest release of Delamotte's NV Brut Rosé offers up expressive aromas of red apples, crisp stone fruit, cherries and fresh pastry, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping palate. Comparatively rich and textural for this routinely elegant, fine-boned cuvée, it's more gastronomic than usual.90, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Aug 2022

Hugues Godmé Champagne Grand Cru Fins Bois NV, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Verzenay, Champagne

"Subtle nuances of floral and yeast add breadth to the cool and pure green apple and lemon peel-inflected aromas. There is excellent vibrancy and freshness to the still very youthful flavors that are supported by a firm but fine effervescence on the bone dry but not austere finish. This is a complete baby and while it could be enjoyed now I would be strongly inclined to buy this and lay it away for anywhere from 5 to as much as 10 years as the development potential is clearly here." 93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound

The NV Extra- Brut Eloquence Grand Cru is another impressive wine in this range from Vergnon. The low dosage of three grams per liter brings out freshness and energy. Lemon peel, mint, white flowers and crushed rocks build effortlessly in the glass.  The release, based on 2017 with 20% reserve wines, is gorgeous. Give this a good bit of air, as it opens nicely over time. Disgorged May 2021. 93 Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, Nov 2022

"An intense and tangy style bursting with acid-drive and energy. The 2020 Clos le Grand Beaupreau was fermented in 500-litrer barrels (2/3rds) and (1/3rd) in amphora. Due to the sandy soils on top of schist, it's a light to mid-weight style that floats along the palate, yet has an unrelenting power. Expect pear, apple and even a note of white pepper. Auguste Clape St. Péray 2023, 0.75L
Marsanne from St. Péray, Rhône

.“Honeysuckle and lime flower, with lovely naturalistic acidity. Not the most concentrated vintage of this cuvée, but it's nonetheless lovely in 2023 due to its delicious freshness and drinkability.” 93, Matt Walls, Decanter, Oct 2024

“Stone fruits, peach blossoms, and delicate floral notes emerge from Clape's 2023 Saint-Péray. Medium-bodied and fresh on the palate, it has a supple, seamless texture with integrated acidity and outstanding length. With an almost cool-climate-like vibe, it's best enjoyed over the coming 2-4 years. This is another beautiful lineup from the Clape family. The 2023s are supple and upfront, with terrific depth of fruit. Due to tiny yields, no Renaissance cuvée was produced in 2022, and the Grand Vin is brilliant stuff, with a sunny yet concentrated, structured style that reminds me of the estate's 2017. These are beautiful, classic Cornas that readers will love. In addition, don't miss their Saint-Péray, a fresher, crisp, absolutely delicious white.” 91, Jeb Dunnuck, May 2025

Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Saint-Joseph 2021, 0.75L
Syrah from St. Joseph, Rhône

"A tasting of the various constituent lieux-dits revealed that the Bachesson parcel had a peppery side and its characteristic rose scent, and an unmistakably granitic texture. The Chalaix lieu-dit was precise, fine, with no huge concentration but good balance. Lieu-dit Dardouille was looking promising, with good weight and length. The finished blend of the domaine’s St-Joseph is likely to be neat, precise and fresh, with a distinct mineral side, one to drink relatively young. There will be no separate bottling of Clos Florentin this year due to frost." 93 Matt Walls, Decanter Magazine

"The 2021s here are certainly strong wines in the vintage. The 2021 Saint Joseph is a healthy dense ruby/purple hue and offers textbook Saint Joseph aromas and flavors of black fruit (there's a hint of red fruit as well), graphite, ground pepper, and some meaty, bloody nuances. Medium-bodied, it has beautiful tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and outstanding length." 92 Jeb Dunnuck

After a recent tasting, I tried to order a few bottles from the estate for my personal cellar and was sadly denied. Very few bottles of this wine were made, and with demand so high, every last one has now shipped off to the USA. I envy all who can still find a few for the cellar!” Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant

de la Vieille Julienne Chateauneuf du Pape Les Trois Sources 2010, 0.75L

"A new cuvee for this estate and a blend of 60% Grenache and the rest a mix of Syrah, Mourvedre, and Cinsault that comes from tiny yields of 22 hl/hectare, the 2010 Les Trois Sources delivers a decidedly mineral-drenched array of sweet plum, violets, black licorice, wild flowers, and hints of herbs on the nose. Perfumed, complex, and showing the estate’s hallmark freshness and purity, this full-bodied Châteauneuf-du-Pape is elegant and streamlined on the palate, with beautiful underlying concentration, ripe tannin, and a long finish. Weingut Robert Weil Rheingau Riesling Spätlese 2022, 0.75L
Riesling from Rheingau, Rheingau

“A medium sweet Spätlese from the Rheingau icon Weil. This late-picked Riesling shows the ethereal clarity and power the variety can have. This wine is an assemblage of some of the estate's top vineyards blended with fruit from surrounding non-Grosse Lagen sites. It has charming aromatics, rich pear, Meyer lemon, and beguiling floral spice. The palate balances viscosity and ripeness with juicy, mouthwatering acidity. The lack of botrytis and the sterling minerality clarify this affordable bottling. The flavour of sweet peaches, honeyed apricots and lush, fleshy citrus are buoyed by a racy, edgy acidity that carries the finish.” 93, Clive Pursehouse, Decanter, Apr 2024

“A concentrated, complex nose of ground spices, ripe red berries, cedar and smoky mineral complexity. Racy and succulent on a medium to full bodied palate, with a broad, mouth-filling tannin structure. Fine and lingering.”  93, James Suckling, Sep 2024

“The Anna Maria Abbona 2019 Barolo Bricco San Pietro offers rich concentration and fruit that feels balanced and ripe. This wine does not have the softer, sweet fruit notes that you get in the 2018 vintage. Instead, this Barolo shows dried currant, earth, crushed stone and white pepper. The tannins are dry and silky. Some 7,000 bottles were produced.” 92, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Apr 2024

Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo Ghemme Collis Breclemae 2015, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Ghemme, Piedmont

"The 2015 Ghemme Collis Breclemae is going to be gorgeous, but it needs time, as it is going through and adolescent phase at present. Brooding and somber, with quite a bit of complexity, the 2015 certainly has a ton to offer. Wild cherry, tobacco, spice, leather and cedar all build as this powerful, strapping Ghemme slowly opens. All the 2015 needs is cellaring to be at its most expressive. (Drink between 2025-2040)" 93 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Cascina Baricchi Barbaresco Riserva Rose Delle Casasse 2018, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Barbaresco, Piedmont

"The 2018 Barbaresco Riserva Rose delle Casasse offers lovely density and plenty of character. There's gorgeous depth in the mid-palate. Light fading at the edges and slight mature notes in the bouquet lead me to believe the 2018 will likely be more of a medium-term drinker, its notable presence notwithstanding. Tobacco, dried herbs, mint, leather, cinnamon and dried autumn leaves all develop with a bit of aeration. The 2018 is a gorgeous wine whose only shortcoming is that it tastes a bit older than it should." 93, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2024

Ficomontanino Toscana Rosso Granomelo 2019, 0.75L
Sangiovese from Tuscany, Tuscany

"Dusty cherry and crushed fall leaves evolve slowly into a deeper display of citrus-tinged raspberries, cinnamon and sweet white smoke as the 2018 Rosso Granomelo blossoms in the glass. This seduces with a silky wave of pure, ripe red berries and spices, as brilliant acidity lends vibrancy and saline-mineral tones add a salty flair. The 2018 has energy to burn, coming across as primary and wild, yet also refined. An herbal twang and grippy tannins collect toward the close. It leaves the palate classically dry, caked with an almost-chalky coating; however, it’s mouthwatering all the same. The contrasts here keep you guessing with each tilt of the glass, a mix of sheer drinkability and noble stature. This is a gorgeous glass of Sangiovese. The Granomelo hails from Ficomontanino’s Melogranino vineyard. It goes through spontaneous fermentation with a two-month maceration, and then refines completely in concrete. I’ll be following this wine closely in the vintages to come. A selection of inspired Tuscan wines arrived from Maria Sole at Ficomontanino. This is a 12-hectare property located in the extreme southeast of Tuscany, bordering Umbria and Lazio. In fact, geographically speaking, the climate here is closer to northern Lazio and mountainous Umbria than it is to Tuscany. The vineyards were originally planted by Maria Sole's grandfather in the 1960s, yet winemaking was more of a hobby for him. She took the reins of the family farm from her father after being bitten by the wine bug and was inspired by the likes of Tenute Dettori in Sardinia. Her education at Slow Food’s University of Culinary Arts at Pollenzo is also a huge influence in the winemaking here, choosing natural practices in the vineyards, spontaneous fermentations, long macerations, neutral aging vessels, no fining or filtration, and a minimum use of sulfur. In the end, Maria Sole really seems to be onto something, delivering a transparent and honest representation of terroir." 93 Points, Eric Guido, Vinous

La Torre Brunello di Montalcino 2019, 0.75L
Sangiovese from Brunello di Montalcino, Tuscany

“The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino La Torre is born of the earth, as a burst of crushed ashen stones and wild herbs give way to dried black cherries. This is surprisingly juicy and sleek, with vividly ripe red plums complicated by saline minerals and savory spice. Green olives resonate under an air of violet inner florals. The 2019 finishes long, structured and staining. A pleasantly rustic character here may not be for everyone, but I think it works pretty well”.  93, Eric Guido, Vinous, Nov 2023

Maculan Palazzotto Cabernet Sauvignon 2020, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Breganze, Veneto

“The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Palazzotto tempts the imagination with a darkly floral bouquet that mixes rich black cherry sauce with graphite, sage and shavings of pine. Silky smooth and supple, this finds a lovely balance through a core of tart red and black fruits and crunchy mineral tones that ride a wave of tantalizing acidity. A web of fine tannins descends on the palate as the 2020 finishes long and lightly structured, leaving a peppery herbal thrust that lingers on. This classy Cabernet Sauvignon is impossible to ignore and should drink beautifully after two to three years in the cellar.” 93, Eric Guido, Vinous, Dec 2023

Graham`s 10 Year Old Tawny Porto NV, 0.75L
Port Blend from Porto, Douro

“A luscious, super-moreish tawny, with notes of sweet orange peel, mellow Madeira honey cake, almond/marzipan and salted caramel. Silky, honeyed mouthfeel, with praline to the finish. Satisfying and very complete, this 10-year-old is naughty but nice, polished and toothsome: a great execution of the house style.” 93, Sarah Ahmed, Decanter, Nov 2020

Abadia Retuerta Seleccion Especial 2018, 0.75L
Tempranillo / Cabernet Sauvignon from Sardón de Duero, Castilla y León

"2018 was a cooler year with more rain and higher yields, and the 2018 Selección Especial—77% Tempranillo, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Syrah, 1% Merlot, 0.8% Petit Verdot and 0.3% Garnacha—shows very harmonious and better integrated oak than the 2017. Despite having similar analytical data, the wine comes through as fresher, more balanced, more fluid and with a finer texture given the quality of the tannins. 532,607 bottles produced. It was bottled in May and June 2020." 93, Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate, Jun 2021

Bodegas Antidoto La Hormiga 2021, 0.75L
Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León

“The 2021 La Hormiga is a 100% Tempranillo from old vines in Soria, Ribera del Duero. Aged for ten months in French oak barrels, it's garnet in the glass with a purple sheen. On the nose, you'll find notes of black cherry, crushed plum and a touch of arugula against an oaky backdrop. The palate is dry, taut and structured with finely-grained tannins and a juicy finish. This is an intense red from Ribera del Duero.” 93, Joaquin Hidalgo, Vinous, Sep 2023

Vinedos del Jorco Las Enebradas Navalgordo 2017, 0.75L
Grenache from Paraje del Jorco, Castilla y León

"I was really looking forward to the 2017 Las Enebradas, because the first vintage, 2016, was the revelation of my last review of the zone of Gredos. I was quite surprised because the profile is very different: the wine has a lot more color and up to 2% more alcohol. Nacho Jiménez, one of the partners, explained that the profile of the 2016 vintage was exceptional and hard to replicate, as yields were higher and it rained just before they picked the grapes, so the wine is a lot lighter. 2017 was very different, a lot warmer and with lower yields, and the grapes delivered a concentrated juice with a lot more color, tannin and alcohol. It has a more Mediterranean profile, more in line with the rest of the wines. This fermented with 50% full clusters and temperature control and matured in one 500-liter oak barrel. Despite the higher ripeness and the headier character, the wines from Navatalgordo have a different texture and fine thread, the finesse of a cooler place and sandy soils at higher altitude (even if the vines are south-facing here), and you see it when tasting this next to the wines from Cebreros. It's more elegant and fresher. 570 bottles were filled in August 2019." 93 Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate

Alegre Valgañón Rioja Tinto 2021, 0.75L
Tempranillo Blend from Rioja, La Rioja

“The 2021 Rioja regular bottling from Oscar Alegre and Eva Valgañón is made from a blend of tempranillo and garnacha from several different villages, with the idea to source the tempranillo from northern sectors ideally suited to this grape and to do the same for the garnacha, from the foothills to the south. The wine comes in at fourteen percent octane in 2021 and was given sixteen months aging in cask prior to bottling. It offers up a complex and nicely red fruity bouquet of raspberries, cherries, clove-like spice tones, a fine base of soil elements, cigar smoke, cedar and a nice touch of spiced meats from the garnacha in the blend. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and tangy, with excellent depth at the core, fine-grained tannins, lovely balance and a long, complex and very promising finish. This is an outstanding bottle in the making." 93, John Gilman, View From The Cellar, Jan 2024

Bodegas Hermanos Pecina Rioja Senorio de Pecina Reserva 2016, 0.75L
Tempranillo Blend from Rioja Alta, La Rioja

“I love the textbook nose of the 2016 Señorío de P. Peciña Reserva, as it is earthy, spicy and developed, with notes of leather and vanilla and a touch of smoke and brick dust. It has ripe fruit without excess and a medium-bodied palate with great balance and freshness. It has pungent flavors and is powerful and ripe without excess at 14.5% alcohol and with polished chalky tannins. This matured in American oak barrels for 36 months, during which time it was racked every six months. 42,000 bottles produced. Crocker & Starr Red Blend of Cabernet Franc 2021, 0.75L
Bordeaux Blend from Napa Valley, California

“The 2021 Cabernet Franc A.V.A Red Blend checks in as 54% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance Malbec that was aged 22 months in barrel. Spiced red plums, black cherries, damp flowers, and leather are just some of the nuances in this puppy, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a ripe, forward, charming style that's already hard to resist. I wouldn't push the aging curve, but I see no reason this shouldn't evolve gracefully for 8-10 years.” 93, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2023

“The 2021 Red Blend of Cabernet Franc (Napa Valley) is 54% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Malbec. Bright, effusive aromatics meld into a core of black fruits, licorice, lavender and chocolate. Polished tannins wrap it all together in style.” 93, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2023

Di Costanzo Farella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville, California

“Here in its third vintage, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard is just starting to come into its own, with pretty notes of red cherry, pomegranate, rose petal and licorice. The aromatics show the first signs of maturity, yet bright acids and pure fruit suggest another decade or so of fine drinking lies ahead. This is a pretty effort from Erin and Massimo Di Costanzo's early days. (Drink between 2022-2032).” 93, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2024
