"Not surprisingly, having only been in bottle for one week, the 2020 Chablis AC from Domaine Bessin is a little shaken up post-bottling, but it is also abundantly clear that there is excellent depth and transparency here, coupled to lovely acidity and plenty of length and grip. Based on how well the wines that were still in tank showed, I have zero doubt that this wine too will deliver lovely precision and focus as well, once it has recovered from the mise. The bouquet offers up scents of apple, pear, chalky soil tones, a touch of citrus peel and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nicely balanced, with excellent material at the core, fine mineral undertow, zesty acids and impressive length and grip.
