Auguste Clape Cornas 2022, 1.5L
Syrah from Cornas, Rhône

“No Renaissance was produced in this vintage. Reminding me of the 2017, the 2022 Cornas reveals gorgeous red and black fruits, violets, bouquet garni, and gamey, iron-like nuances. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has fine tannins, beautiful overall balance, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a gorgeous finish. This is well worth your time and money, and I'd be thrilled with bottles in the cellar. Hide bottles for 5-7 years and enjoy over the following two decades. This is another beautiful lineup from the Clape family. The 2023s are supple and upfront, with terrific depth of fruit. Due to tiny yields, no Renaissance cuvée was produced in 2022, and the Grand Vin is brilliant stuff, with a sunny yet concentrated, structured style that reminds me of the estate's 2017. These are beautiful, classic Cornas that readers will love. In addition, don't miss their Saint-Péray, a fresher, crisp, absolutely delicious white.” 97, Jeb Dunnuck, May 2025

“A tasting of various barrel samples suggests that the 2022 vintage here will be very good, if not necessarily the most powerful year. The fruit is quite dark in character and there's a good sense of purity if not the same freshness as 2021 or 2020, or the grandeur of 2019. Nonetheless, an excellent wine and a fairly typical expression of Clape Cornas. Tannins are ripe and elegant.” 96, Matt Walls, Decanter, Sep 2023

Auguste Clape Le Vin des Amis 2023, 0.75L
Syrah from Vin de France, Rhône

“Very much on the fresh, herbal end of the Syrah spectrum, this has tomato stalk notes and pink peppercorn aromas over the peppery fruit. Light in tannin with fresh acidity, don't expect concentration of fruit or depth, but if you're looking for a crisp, very northern Rhône Syrah, this is a delightful, smashable example.” 90, Matt Walls, Decanter, Oct 2024

Auguste Clape St. Péray 2023, 0.75L
Marsanne from St. Péray, Rhône

.“Honeysuckle and lime flower, with lovely naturalistic acidity. Not the most concentrated vintage of this cuvée, but it's nonetheless lovely in 2023 due to its delicious freshness and drinkability.” 93, Matt Walls, Decanter, Oct 2024

“Stone fruits, peach blossoms, and delicate floral notes emerge from Clape's 2023 Saint-Péray. Medium-bodied and fresh on the palate, it has a supple, seamless texture with integrated acidity and outstanding length. With an almost cool-climate-like vibe, it's best enjoyed over the coming 2-4 years. Henri Perrusset Mâcon-Villages 2023, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Mâcon-Villages, Burgundy

“Perrusset’s vineyards boast a limestone terroir that is more marly than stony, which he says con tributes to the grainy minerality in his wines. The result? Soft tones of Anjou pears and honeysuckle and a long, zesty finish.” Importer Notes

Domaine Jamet Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2023, 0.75L
Syrah from Côtes du Rhône, Rhône

"The 2023 Côtes du Rhône emerges with glossy red plum, red cherry, licorice and a touch of black cherry on the nose. Medium-bodied, round and refreshing, the 2023 bundles tidy elegance and can be tackled right after release. An uplifting, spicy finish wraps it up. " 90, Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, Jan 2025

Domaine Jamet Cote Rotie 2022, 0.75L
Syrah from Côte-Rôtie, Rhône

"A tasting through the different terroirs in this wine revealed a fresh, intense, highly structured year; not as generous as 2019 or 2020, certainly more austere, and will take longer to come round. Many of the samples had an appealing floral expression, occasionally with herbal nuances from the use of whole bunches, and often really quite dark, dense black fruit on the palate. Tannins, while not green, are decidedly tight and will take time to finesse. A vintage where patience is required and which I suspect will shut down shortly after bottling."  96, Matt Walls, Decanter, Sep 2023

Marcel Lapierre Morgon N (Sans Soufre) 2023, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

“The 2023 Morgon (Non-Sulphité) has a fresh and vibrant nose, a little more brightness than the SO2 bottling. This conveys a sense of coiled-up energy. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity and that same crunchy red fruit as the regular cuvée, but with a tad more flesh toward the finish. Lapierre told me that the brightness tends to disappear within six weeks, but nevertheless, this remains a magnificent Morgon.” 93, Neal Martin, Vinous, Apr 2024

Domaine de Fontsainte Gris de Gris Rosé 2023, 0.75L
Rosé Blend from Corbières, Languedoc Roussillon

.“It’s no coincidence that Gris de Gris has been a KLWM staple for over forty years: a cold glass hits the spot every single time, bursting over the taste buds with bright citrus, wild strawberry, and a juicy finish that makes one’s mouth water in anticipation of the next sip. The delicate pressing of mostly Grenache Gris grapes has proven its merits as the formula for a rosé that is always crisp, slightly salty, and perpetually refreshing.” Importer Notes

Clos la Coutale Cahors 2022, 0.75L
Malbec / Merlot from Cahors, Sud Ouest

“Clos La Coutale is made up of Malbec and Merlot. The average yield of 45hl allows for good ripeness and consistent quality over the years. The vinification is done in temperature-controlled vats, the regular punching down allows a good extraction of the aromas and the fruit. The Clos La Coutale is then aged in barrels and wooden barrels and barrels for a year in order to obtain a good balance between tannins and fruit.” Importer Notes

Yves Leccia d'E Croce YL Rosé 2023, 0.75L
Sangiovese from IGP Ile de Beaute, Vin de pays

..60% Nielluccio (aka Sangiovese), 40% Grenache. "Electric light magenta, this wine’s beautiful hue catches the eye in particularly attention-grabbing fashion. Yves Leccia cultivates the bottling predominantly from Niellucciu, the Corsican cousin of Sangiovese. Bright, savory, and structured, this wine sinks into your teeth a bit more and leaves a strong impression of Corsican identity and flavor. I can easily see it accompanying an entire alfresco meal if desired, from briny anchovies and olives to grilled fish and vegetables to wild herb-rubbed and charcoal-seared meats."  Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant

Domaine Jamet Cote Rotie 2021, 0.75L
Syrah from Côte Rôtie, Rhône

“Inky magenta. Highly expressive aromas of red and blue fruits, violet, incense, olive and baking spices, along with a smoky mineral top note. Stains the palate with vibrant, sharply etched black raspberry, blueberry, bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors that slowly deepen and become sweeter with air. Shows very good power but comes off lithe, showing no rough edges on a long, gently tannic finish that leaves behind sappy blue fruit and black pepper notes.” 93-95, Josh Raynolds, Dec, 2022

Domaine Gramenon Cotes du Rhone La Sagesse 2021, 0.75L
Grenache from Cotes du Rhone, Rhône

"Only just bottled so still quite introverted. Medium-bodied, with good concentration of fruit, quite robust tannins and good acidity. This will be excellent in time. Half whole bunch, and you feel just a touch of aromatic stems, but no excessive greenness or textural harshness. From three parcels around the estate of old-vine Grenache that are between 50 and 70 years old. Partially destemmed, fermented in raw cement tanks then aged in old barriques for 12 months. Thierry Germain Domaine des Roches Neuves Franc De Pied 2020, 0.75L
Cabernet Franc from Saumur Champigny, Loire

The 2020 Franc de Pied is incredibly reductive when it was first opened and needed a lot of time and a swirl with a copper coin. If you can be patient ( 5 minutes with a penny in your glass, or your currency’s equivalent), It’s worth the wait. It reveals itself to be a richly fruited, savory style that fills the mouth with a balloon of chalky silkiness. The limestone element really shows itself on the long finish grained texture and sinew. As you’d hope from Saumyr-Champigny, there’s no sense of weight or heft. Detectable now but has the structure to develop over the coming two decades.” 94 Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, June 2022

Thierry Germain Domaine des Roches Neuves Les Memoires 2020, 0.75L
Cabernet Franc from Saumur Champigny, Loire

“The 2020 Les Memoires is a round and elegant Cabernet Franc. It’s a not-trying wine that exudes a sense of calm and ease as it rolls around your mouth seamlessly. Maybe it’s the 100-year old vines doing their thing. There’s no oak getting in the way, allowing the purity of fruit to shine. It remains true to its variety and place, while its light spice meets dark fruits. Forget the fruit flavors, this is all about refined texture and its fine, chalky, powdery veil of tannins lightly coating the palate. Long and textural, this is not a wine you’ll regret...” 94 Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, June 2022

Louis Barruol Côte Rôtie La Boisselee 2018, 0.75L
Syrah from Côte Rôtie, Rhône

“Sure, it has the violets and spice of great Côte Rôtie, but also a dense and delicious Syrah luxuriance you want to bite off and chew. After a recent tasting, I tried to order a few bottles from the estate for my personal cellar and was sadly denied. Very few bottles of this wine were made, and with demand so high, every last one has now shipped off to the USA. I envy all who can still find a few for the cellar!” Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant

Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe Chataneauf de Pape La Crau 2020, 0.375L
Grenache / Mourvèdre / Syrah / Cinsault from Chateauneuf du Pape, Rhône

“This amazing Chateauneuf-du-Pape squares the circle of southern richness and spring-like freshness in spite of coming from a very warm and dry vintage. The stony minerality, saltiness and dried flower character wind together to form a dynamic whole, driving this gracefully across the palate. But I must also mention the savory and licorice richness that is so deftly wrapped around them. Very long, salty and velvety finish. Drink or hold.” 97, Stuart Pigott, James Suckling, Nov 2023

“This shows a lot of aromatic appeal, with dusty earth and singed incense notes covering a well of fresh cherry and red currant flavors. A gutsy, grippy style on the palate, with a cast iron spine bringing firm shape and underlying power. Slightly old-school, this still needs time to unfurl. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault. Best from 2025 through 2035. 7,500 cases made, 2,500 cases imported.” 94, Kristen Bieler, Wine Spectator, Mar 2024

Montanet-Thoden Bourgogne Vézelay Galerne 2020, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Bourgogne Vézelay, Burgundy

"Domaine Montenet Thondon's organically grown Bourgogne Blanc de Vezely is a classically vibrant Chardonnay. It's beautifully ripe, but still bone dry with a light-to-medium body. You'll get notes of melon and green apple on the nose with crisp acidity and minerality. It's complex enough to stand alone, but also makes a perfect match for crisp summer salads with fruit like strawberries and sliced peaches, or grilled meat, fish, and light pasta dishes."

Domaine de Villaine Rully Blanc 1er Cru "Les Margotes" 2019, 0.75L

"Moderately prominent wood can be found on the ripe and very spicy aromas of white fruit confit, orange peel, anise and exotic tea. There is again excellent volume and power to the larger-scaled flavors that brim with sappy dry extract before terminating in a caressing, stylish and complex finale. This intense mineral-driven effort is lovely and a wine that should amply reward mid-term cellaring." 92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound

Clos Saint-Joseph I.G.P. Méditerranée Rouge 2017, 0.75L
Syrah / Grenache / Mourvèdre / Cabernet Sauvignon from Méditérranée, Provence

"In 2017, a hail storm destroyed much of Clos Saint Joseph’s red grapes. Half of this bottling comes from grapes from Clos Saint Joseph’s vines. The other half comes from donations of grapes from a large group of Provence’s top growers (an organization called Rouge Provence, intended to create solidarity among growers and promote Provence’s historic red wines) including Domaine Tempier, Domaine Hauvette, and Domaine de la Tour du Bon. All these grapes come from different AOCs (Bandol, Coteaux de Baux, Coteaux d’Aix, Coteaux Varois, Côtes de Provence), which is why the wine’s designation is I.G.P Méditerranée instead of Côtes de Provence."  Importer Notes, Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant
