Maison Saint Vivant Bourgogne 2023, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Bourgogne, Burgundy
“Maison Saint Vivant is a special project from Antoine Gille, with very limited production. It was written in 1851, that the Gille family had been present in Comblanchien since 1570, making it the oldest family in the village. The estate as it exists today was constructed by Vivant Gille (1877-1938), and expanded by Pierre Gille (born 1947) with his wife Anne-Marie, who together expanded into appellations like Vosne-Romanee, Pommard, Nuits Saint George 1er Cru, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru, and Corton Grand Cru. They are now aided by their children. The philosophy of the Gille family has always been transmission between generations - it is not a job, but a passion guided by tradition and innovation - their wines are a transmission of their souls as winegrowers. The Gille family places a special reverence to the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes - the unique system of climatic classification in Burgundy allow these varieties to develop one of a kind notes and expressions - and clearly call for ‘reflective & respectful’ agriculture. No hazardous materials are used in cultivation and no products are used in excess, including copper and sulfur. Their goal is to preserve the myriad of yeasts on the berries, which guarantees the expression of the different climates through natural fermentation & little to no human intervention.” Importer Notes

Domaine du Père Caboche Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2021, 0.75L
White Rhône Blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Rhône
“Looking first at the white, the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc is straight-up beautiful stuff, offering clean citrus and orange blossom-like fruits as well as subtle spice, chalky minerality, and flower oil-like nuances. Medium-bodied on the palate, with bright yet integrated acidity, it's textured, has remarkable purity, and a great finish.” 93, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2022
