"From 60-year-old vines picked on September 29, Ott's Feuersbrunner 2017 Grüner Veltliner Ried Rosenberg 1ÖTW is super clear, precise and fresh on the nose where tropical and stone fruit aromas such as apricots, white peaches, nectarines, papayas and mangos are displayed. Full-bodied, lush and round with very fine acidity and good structure, this is a densely woven, fleshy, super elegant, persistent and very powerful Veltliner with an impressive but slightly massive finish. Super sexy but I tend to prefer the Spiegel from the 2017 vintage. Tasted at Schloss Grafenegg and three weeks later in Vienna, both September 2018." |
