"Bachelet's 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes once again incorporates his holdings in Les Evocelles, which didn't produce enough grapes to merit a separate vinification. Bursting with aromas of cherries, raspberries, spices and licorice, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with velvety tannins, lively acids and an elegant, seamless profile." |
Staff Notes:
"The 2020 Côte de Nuits-Villages wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, cassis and dark berries, framed by a deft touch of spicy oak. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, it's deep and sapid, with tangy acids and a long, penetrating finish. As I've written before, if there's a sleeper in the portfolio of this sought-after domaine, this cuvée—from the lieu-dit Queue de Hareng in Brochon—is it." 91-92 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2020
