“The 2021 La Grande Pièce is one of the Plaisance's single vineyard wines. It's a less-frosted site with pudding stones creating a solar effect on the vines. Half aged in amphora and half in mainly-used barrels. Lemon, apple, almond croissant pastry. Excellent intensity, concentration and persistence. There's an element of tenderness, but linearity pervades this wine like a train on a track.” |
