93+ WA. "The 2004 Schlossbockelheimer Felsenberg Riesling Auslese smells of peonies, quince, mint, distilled purple and black fruits, and pungent brown spices. Spice-, flower- and berry liqueur-laced pear and quince preserves inform an intensely rich yet impeccably balanced and refined palate. The finish really whips up the flowers, berries and spices and suggests that these are early days for trying to capture the quality of this wine with my poor words, to say nothing of numbers."
