90 RP. Elegant, lighter, and more restrained than the blockbuster 1990, Hartwell's 1991 is still an explosively rich, deep ruby/purple-colored wine with an attractive bouquet of vanillin, spice, cassis, and herbs. Medium to full-bodied and rich, it is an excellent example of Cabernet Sauvignon that admirably marries power and intensity with a sense of style and grace. Although drinkable now, it will last 15+ years. Wine Advocate # 93, Jun 1994 |
