Lot #253. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grands Echézeaux 1978

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 93 AM.
Powerfully ripe and expressive aromas that display a wonderfully spicy mix of sous bois and very warm earth notes followed by quite ripe and intense flavors underpinned by noticeable finishing structure that has a slightly rustic character to it. This is still quite vibrant and may very well outlive all of the DRC '78s with the possible exception of the Romanée-Conti. In short, this is a classic Grands-Echézeaux. Consistent notes. Allen Meadows, July 01, 2006
Provenance: The Dominion Cellar
Notes: 3cm, worn, lightly soiled, and lightly wine stained capsule, lightly scuffed, lightly bin soiled, and lightly mold stained label, #005163.
