92 NM. "Tasted at the Bristol Commanderie dinner. Not having encountered this vintage for ten years, I was pleasantly surprised by the good showing of this Saint Emilion. It has a masculine nose with blackberry, dark plum and those black truffles that mutate into undergrowth aromas with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a silky smooth entry, a hint of sea-salt at the back of the mouth, nicely structured with a touch of bay leaf on the convincing finish. Drinking perfectly . . ."
