"The 2020 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru has an airy bouquet, very transparent with redcurrant and wild strawberry fruit, the 15% new oak nearly integrated. Very minerally. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins. This is a strict and mineral driven Beaune, very tensile but with ample weight and concentration on the finish. Excellent. (Drink between 2025-2045)"
"A notably more floral-suffused nose is attractively high-toned with its fresh aromas of essence of red currant and cherry. The super-sleek, intense and mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are finer but not denser on the tension-filled and wonderfully refreshing finale. This will need to add depth and is a wine that could be approached young if desired." |
