OUR STORY
Where Great Wine Names Come Together
Spectrum Wine was founded in 2009 by collectors and auction professionals who had spent their careers bringing rare collectibles to market, and who saw what that expertise could do for fine wine. From the start, we set out to build a better way to buy, sell, and store the world's great wines and spirits.
We've grown by joining forces with some of the most respected names in wine. Each brought something we couldn't have built alone: a retail legacy reaching back to 1953, world-class buying and the people behind it, and cellars collectors have trusted for decades. Today they work as one team, with one aim: to help you discover, enjoy, and care for great wine.

OUR HISTORY
Seven Decades in the Making
1953 · Rolf's Wine & Spirits opens. It becomes Orange County's oldest wine merchant.
1982 · Rick Webster purchases Rolf's Wine & Spirits.
1982 · Wine Exchange is founded as Liquor Exchange by brothers Steve and Craig Zanotti, quickly becoming one of the greatest wine retailers in the country.
1983 · In August, Rick Webster opens the Newport Beach wine storage facility that becomes Rolf's Wine Storage.
1992 · Wine Cellar Club is founded by Steven Greenberg, offering professional wine storage in Irvine.
2009 · Spectrum Wine is founded.
2015 · Wine Exchange is purchased by former longtime employees Kyle Meyer and Tristen Beamon.
2017 · Rolf's Wine & Spirits and Rolf's Wine Storage join Spectrum, adding their retail clients and our Newport Beach cellar.
2018 · Legend Cellars joins Spectrum, adding its Irvine wine storage facility.
2025 · Wine Exchange joins Spectrum, bringing over four decades of industry-leading fine wine retail.
2026 · Wine Cellar Club joins Spectrum, growing our fine wine storage to more than 73,000 square feet.
