Consignments

From your cellar to a global audience of collectors, with expert guidance at every step.
How consignments work
Whether you are making room in your cellar or selling a larger collection, our auction specialists guide you through each stage, from an initial appraisal to the sale of your wine and spirits.
Share your collection
Start with a list of your wine or spirits. A specialist will review your collection and prepare a complimentary appraisal informed by auction and retail sales data.
Agree on a plan
Discuss the proposed sale, consignment terms, fees, and logistics with your specialist. We will help you understand the process and answer your questions before moving forward.
Transport and prepare
We coordinate transport to our temperature- and humidity-controlled warehouse in Santa Ana. Your collection is inspected, cataloged, and photographed for the appropriate auction.
Auction and payment
Your collection is presented to our global audience of wine and spirits buyers. Your specialist will explain the auction schedule, sale results, and payment timing under your consignment terms.
What to include in your request
The more detail you can share, the easier it is for our specialists to review your collection. Include what you know; you can discuss any missing details when we follow up.
- Producer and wine or spirit name, vintage, bottle size, and quantity.
- Bottle condition, including fill levels, labels, capsules, and any original cases or packaging.
- Purchase and storage history, including how and where the collection has been kept.
- The collection's current location and any preferred timing for a sale.
Tell us about your collection
Share a summary below and let us know how to reach you. A Spectrum Wine specialist will review your request and contact you to discuss your collection, appraisal, and next steps.
Not sure where to begin?
You do not need a finished inventory to start a conversation. Tell us about your collection and our team can help you identify the information needed for an appraisal.
