"The decadently sweet, single vintage 2004 Pedro Ximenez de Anada reveals off-the-chart honeyed richness along with hints of caramel and marmalade. This dark amber-colored wine possesses plenty of fresh fruit characteristics. It is best served as dessert. Importer Jorge Ordonez has begun to offer single vintage finos, aged two years in traditional American oak botas (500 liters), so consumers have an opportunity to understand how zesty a fino can be."

Spain has the largest area under vine of any country and a deep tradition of oak-aged reds. Tempranillo-based wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero, alongside Priorat's Garnacha and Carinena, anchor its fine-wine reputation.
