"Vegetative cycle of 205 days. A very cold May was followed by a warm summer, but the rain in August and September brought plenty of mildew. It was still considered a very good vintage. Bottled in June 1963 . . . . showing very good balance from the beginning. It is better to follow the evolution of these old bottles in the glass and see how the nose develops rather than decanting them and not seeing how they change."
