A strikingly fresh, ripe and expressive nose combines elegant blue and red pinot fruit, cassis, plum and Asian spice hints before sliding seamlessly into wonderfully pure and transparent medium plus weight flavors underpinned by a firm tannic spine that is itself buffered by seemingly buckets of sap. This is tightly focused today but I estimate that it should come into its prime drinking window in 8 to 10 years.
