"The â99 NiederhĂ€user Hermannshöhle SpĂ€tlese from Helmut Dönnhoff is fully mature at age ten and probably will be best drunk up in the next five to seven years, as the rather structural profile of the vintage does not bode well for long-term keeping. The nose is complex and lovely at this point in the wineâs evolution, as it offers up scents of apple, white cherries, wild yeast tones, slate, petrol and an exotic topnote of turmeric. On the palate the wine is medium-full, round and complex, with good depth, lovely freshness for this fast-track vintage and good length on the gentle and refined finish."

The spiritual home of Riesling, producing wines of piercing acidity, precision and longevity across a spectrum from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. Cool, steep-sloped vineyards along the Mosel and Rhine yield some of the world's most delicate, long-lived whites.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
