By the slightest of margins, this is the best of the Dujac '78s, eclipsing even the fabulous Echézeaux. There is more aromatic maturity present compared to the Clos de la Roche with softer, more perfumed aromas of earth, smoked meat and secondary fruit notes followed by superbly well balanced and still utterly precise medium full flavors that culminate in a powerful, persistent and almost hauntingly beautiful finish. A complete wine that is at once elegant and powerful with years left to go. This merits a wow!. Consistent notes.
