Except for the noticeable new oak influence, this is an old style Richebourg with a robust, indeed almost rustic character to the fruit and flavors and even if it is no model of finesse, the density, richness and power are impressive. Quite firmly structured but well balanced from beginning to end, this should make for a lovely wine with another 5 to 8 years of bottle age.
