"...Soared from the glass in a refined potpourri of red and dark plums, black cherries, venison, herb tones, lovely minerality, a judicious framing of vanillin oak and a lovely topnote of violets. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and laser-like in its focus, with a sappy core of intense fruit, outstanding tangy acids, and great length and grip on the moderately tannic finish. This is a most poised and elegant example of Richebourg that sacrifices none of the power of this climat, simply harnesses the power into a refined thoroughbred."
