"The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (260 cases) is backward. Loaded with concentration, it offers up scents of lavender, black currants, minerals, licorice, and smoky oak. Mouth-searing levels of tannin are present in this big, brawny Cabernet. While it will evolve for two decades, it was impossibly closed. All the component parts suggest an exceptional offering, but patience will be required."
