"The 2006 FÚvre Montée de Tonnerre is a very tensile and backward wine, that reluctantly offers up a bouquet of lime, grapefruit, flinty soil tones, hints of licorice, hay, flowers and other mineral tones. On the palate the wine is medium-full, deep and intensely flavored, with bracing acidity, and great minerality on the long finish. The overall profile of the wine is not as cool and classic as the Les Lys, as the ripeness of the vintage can be sensed here a bit. But this is still a very crisp premier cru that will demand a bit of bottle age before it can be broached, despite the ripeness of the vintage."
