"Bright medium ruby. Exotic dark berries, smoked meat and cracked pepper on the nose; strong note of blackberry liqueur. Intensely flavored, peppery and firm, but tight today and not yet showing much flesh. But the wine bright acids, firm but fine tannins and excellent persistence suggest that it may ultimately merit a 90-point rating."
