"Even more impressive is the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Darioush II, a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Still an infant, this opaque purple-colored wine offers up beautifully sweet loamy soil notes intermixed with creme de cassis, blueberry liqueur and brioche characteristics. There is more minerality in this impressively full-bodied effort along with stunning purity, depth and overall equilibrium."
