"This extraordinary wine was tasted alongside VCC 1971 - unbelievably this was the more youthful in appearance! The nose was open-knit, expressive with soft leathery red fruits. The palate is full of smooth tannins with notes of coffee and molasses. Incredibly well-balanced and youthful. Very soft textured and elegant on the finish. - this exemplifies everything about great mature Bordeaux . . . . Would probably be overlooked by many. Absolutely superb."
