"The 2007 Chardonnay Le Souvenir from the Sierra Madre Vineyard is made from the old Wente clone. Bottled unfiltered as well, it exhibits plenty of orange blossom, lemon custard, honeysuckle, crushed rock, and quince. The beautiful aromatics are followed by a superb, full-bodied wine with a layered texture, a multi-dimensional personality, beautiful acidity, subtle hints of smoke and wood, and a long, long finish. This is a beauty."
