"A more reserved yet even more complex aromatic profile offers a broad spectrum of fruit types along with game, warm earth, underbrush, smoke and wet stone, all of which add depth to the intensely soil-driven big-bodied, powerful and serious flavors blessed with excellent amounts of dry extract that completely buffer the very firm tannic spine on the lingering finish. As good as the Bressandes is, and it is indeed very good, there simply appears to be a supplemental dimension present here."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
Corton is the Cote de Beaune's principal red Grand Cru, spanning the Corton hill across Aloxe-Corton and neighbors, producing powerful, tannic and structured Pinot Noir reds needing time to soften and unfold.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
