"[From Chassagne fruit.] . . . Attractively fresh and quite spicy aromas of both white and yellow orchard fruit that displays a top note of dried flowers. The concentrated, powerful, mouth coating and beautifully textured big-bodied flavors possess dry extract to burn, all wrapped in an explosive, linear and driving finish. Despite the muscle and punch of the flavors and finish, this is actually very, very undeveloped at this early junction and will need every bit of a decade, and perhaps a few years more, to really arrive at its full majority but it should be more than worth the wait."

The world's most versatile white grape, producing everything from steely Chablis to rich, oaked whites. Its neutrality makes it a mirror of terroir and winemaking, and the foundation of white Burgundy and Champagne.
