"2006 was shaping up as a brilliant year for Dettori, but a sudden blight of powdery mildew struck and picking had to immediately happen. This is from the âgrand cruâ Dettori site, so winemaker Alessandro freaks out, gets everything in, processes it all at once and then produced this âdeclassifiedâ wine. Simple winemaking, but quick. Made from 100% Cannonau (Grenache)."

Italy grows more indigenous grape varieties than any other country and produces wine in all 20 of its regions. From Piedmont's Nebbiolo to Tuscany's Sangiovese, its finest wines pair structure and bright acidity with a strong sense of place.
A warm-climate red giving generous, high-alcohol wines of red fruit and spice. It anchors southern Rhone blends and old-vine wines in Spain and Australia.
