"Almost inpenetrable black-ruby color. Seductive perfume of jasmine. Very fat and sweet on the palate, with ripe black fruit sensations augmented by a panoply of Near Eastern spices, marzipan and black pepper, all underscored by a minerality that suggests India ink, Lapsang Souchong tea and woodsmoke. The tannins are silky, the balance is impeccable, and the wine finishes with a rush of lavender-scented wild berries."
