"Bright ruby-red. Aromas of baked raspberry, kirsch, tar and roasted garrigue Very rich and silky, but with excellent acid cut giving shape to the black cherry flavor. Boasts a high-altitude freshness despite its slightly baked quality. Finishes with dusty, broad tannins, a mineral nuance and very good length. Very distinctive wine, slightly Chateauneuf-like but with more obvious acidity."

Spain has the largest area under vine of any country and a deep tradition of oak-aged reds. Tempranillo-based wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero, alongside Priorat's Garnacha and Carinena, anchor its fine-wine reputation.
