"The 2000 Syrah (329 cases) includes 1% Viognier and 3% Grenache in the blend. It is made in large, 500 liter oak puncheons where it is aged for 18 months. The dense purple-colored 2000 reveals notes of smoky bacon fat, roasted meats, saddle leather, and a hint of mint. This French-styled effort possesses good acidity, and comes across like a fruitier, large-sized Crozes-Hermitage."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
