"Very dark, with plum and blackberry fruit covered with smoky bacon, loam and coffee notes. Nice game, lavender, sanguine and mineral notes peek in on the muscular finish, which still needs a little time to open up fully. Lots of fruit, but very Rhône-like in the end."

Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
