"The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston Vineyard is qualitatively similar to the 1996. The 1997 exhibits sweeter fruit, a more seamless texture, and emphasizes the black fruit spectrum, whereas the 1996 reveals more red currant notes. The wine is medium to full-bodied. An impressively constructed, rich wine, it is not quite as seductive and forward as the State Lane offerings. I envision this cuvee lasting two decades."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
