"A spectacular offering from the Monte Rosso Vineyard, the 2001, like the other cuvees, is virtually 100% Cabernet Sauvignon with under 3% Merlot included in the blend. Aged in both French and American oak, it achieved 14.5% natural alcohol and the production was 1,800 cases. An opaque ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, blueberries, black currants, scorched earth, and a Graves-like character. This deep, full-bodied, broodingly backward Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a sensational finish of nearly 45 seconds, a multidimensional mouthfeel, and 25-30 years of upside remaining."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
