"Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2009 Velvet Glove offers ripe and rich black cherry aromas that are very fragrant and youthful with accents of licorice and toast, marmite and blueberry pie. Very spicy, rich and full-bodied in the mouth, it has a bright acid line, medium-firm, grainy tannins and a long and voluptuous length on the finish."

Renowned for powerful, richly fruited Shiraz, most famously from the Barossa Valley, alongside age-worthy Cabernet and cool-climate whites. A warm climate and old, ungrafted vines produce wines of generosity and depth.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
