"Moderately saturated medium red. Classic Clos des Lambrays aromas of dark fruits, game, cinders, pepper and minerals. The flavors follow directly from the aromas, with the wine's harmonious acidity and pepper and spice notes giving it lovely inner-mouth lift. A bit less silky and sweet than the 2001, and not quite as generous, but this wine too is distinctly fine-grained and beautifully balanced. Finishes graceful and very long, with suave, integrated tannins and notes of dried flowers and minerals. (13.5% alcohol; 3.5 pH; 3.7 g/l acidity)"
