"Girard's regular bottling of 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon is a fine bargain given its high quality and 10-15 years of aging potential. It reveals a saturated dark ruby/purple color, and a promising nose of cassis and black-cherries intermixed with scents of oak and earth. Full-bodied and concentrated, with moderate tannin and a powerful finish, it offers considerable richness and aging potential. Some readers may prefer it to the 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve."
