"Complex aromas of fruit and spices, with earthy and balsamic nuances. An expansive, luscious mouthful, with flavors of milk chocolate, dried fig and balsamic vinegar. Very dense, rich, tannic wine with enough creaminess and complexity to avoid coming off as heavy. A very good Amarone that's quite concentrated but is not a caricature."

A prolific northern region known for Amarone della Valpolicella, made from dried grapes, as well as Soave and Prosecco. Its finest reds are rich, warming and concentrated.
