"Intriguingly musky, animal scents rise from the three barrels’ worth of Le Moine 2007 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses, joined by mouth-watering red currant and pomegranate that lead to a sappy, bright palate and long, savory, buoyant finish tinged with ginger, chalk, musk, and liquid floral perfume. The class and complexity of this cru vis-a-vis the others of Chambolle rated as “premier” is clearly evident, and the word “clear” should be emphasized as part of this wines character as well, since its complexities are vividly evident as if perceived through a deep torrent of fruit."
