"The lovely and complex nose offers up a fine mélange of cassis, black raspberries, tobacco, woodsmoke, grilled meats, a bit of heather and a fine base of soil. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and broad-shouldered, with lovely depth at the core, melting tannins, excellent focus and great length and grip on the wide open and palate-staining finish. A beautiful example of the vintage with decades more life in it."
